Morning at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park
This site is giving me a reason to a) lean in more intentionally on my love of photography, b) push me outdoors to explore new places, and c) allow me to bring my kid along to share these experiences, so with that said we did drove over in the earlyish morning (9am?) to take a walk and poke around.
This was a great time to arrive. There were a couple of other people there, but pretty much empty and a beautiful, wind-less morning.
Middle Harbor Shoreline Park is unique because it is owned and operated by the Port of Oakland. It is a horseshoe-shaped park that is situated among the containers and cranes and offers a spectacular view of the city and bridges!
We were only there for about an hour, but I managed to photograph about 15 different bird species! From a distance, it was difficult to see what I was shooting, but when I got home, I was pleasantly surprised!
Here are the shots I got!

Today’s Middle Harbor Shoreline Park bird list:
Today’s take was that even though we weren’t there for long, there was a lot to see if you take the time to look around.
*New sighting!
