Beautiful Birds at Elsie Roemer!
Another quick early morning stop to one of my top favorite East Bay birding places… this was one of the most memorable visits because there were just so many birds! It’s really amazing what a quick 15-20 minute stroll will do for your mind before you start the day… I’ve really been enjoying my little detour before I head to the office.
Some of my favorite shots of the morning, the dunlin were out in full force putting on quite a show! And it was so cool to see so many pelicans together, really loving the winter plumage! And the terns… the photo is blurry but it was exciting to see them sitting still. I was also excited to see the pintails, I had seen one from a far distance in Hayward before the holidays but hadn’t seen one up close yet, so it was particularly exciting! It really amazes me how tiny the dunlin are but how big they become when their wings are spread…
