Early Morning Ducks along the Harbor Bay Trail!
Thanks to the holiday weekend there was no traffic to get to work… I arrived 25 minutes early and decided to drive around the corner to the Harbor Bay Trail, right across the street from Peet’s roasting facility in Alameda.
The ducks were pretty far away, so I had to use my super zoom, but it was thrilling to get home and see what I got. I was only there for about 10 minutes, and thought it was mostly buffleheads (correct), but was super excited to capture my first canvasbacks and lesser scaups! When they finally started swimming closer to shore, I had to leave… but hopefully I can go back again soon!
