Morning at MLK Shoreline

I took 15 min to explore a small area of the MLK Shoreline, around 8:15am. It was pretty quiet, and there were a few birds… It was cool to see an adult goldeneye, they are so beautiful!I I have been on the lookout for a Barrow’s Goldeneye but did not see one this season. I have definitely seen more birds from the Arrowhead Marsh side. I’d come back to this side, but even looking through my binos from Arrowhead, I don’t generally see as many birds on the MLK side of the shoreline. I was hoping I’d see a kingfisher or another less common bird, but no luck this time!
