Pigeons in SF!

Made a rare trip to SF to photograph a dog Santa event, and had some time to walk around before I set up! There was a flock of pigeons nearby… couldn’t help myself! Pigeons are very intelligent birds, and back in my photo days I worked with Palomacy Pigeon Rescue on some photos. One time, they came to my studio with a dolly of pigeons for a photoshoot!

One pigeon volunteer who I’ve kept in touch with all of these years is an incredible artist, Shae Irving, who makes pigeon art. I’m very lucky to have recently added one of her pieces to my collection! Check out her work, it’s so great!

Here are some pigeons in San Francisco. I hope to find more species when I’m out and about, these are rock pigeons… very common.
