Quick Walk at Tassajara Ridge Trail
During our day in San Ramon, we were gifted an hour between tournament games, so instead of sitting around on our phones like everyone else, we drove over the Tassajara Ridge Trail, and took a quick walk. It was so beautiful and the view was incredible (and hot, no shade). The trail climbs up pretty high and is well-worth the effort. I wish I had more time to keep going!
For a 30-minute hike, I was super excited to make it up the big hill and we got a nice 360 view of the area. I also encountered a new bird, Say’s Phoebe, which is adorable with it’s coral-colored belly.
Sometimes I can’t identify the bird on the spot, so with the help of Merlin, I also identified a western meadowlark. I thought it was a yellow-throated warbler, but I see now that they are two completely different birds.
