Albany Bulb
It’s been a couple years since I’ve visited Albany Bulb… was super excited this time though because of my bird-seeking intention… it did not disappoint! It’s crazy how many different birds you can see in a short amount of time… I spent about 30 minutes there and walked up the neck of the bulb, then cut over to check out the birds in the water, and then walked back. I didn’t even go all the way out to the end. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, there were so many birds! I even have a few photos that are blurry but I know are other species, but can’t include them here because I can’t really ID them!
There were two exciting first sightings… a western grebe, and a green-winged teal!

It was crazy how many different birds were in the water. Look at the photo of the water and see if you can count all of the birds… they were nearly invisible… minus the huge flock of dunlin that flew around several times!
